How much does it cost to fix a cracked iPhone screen?

What sets the price, from £19.99 at our Nuneaton shop, and how to get an exact quote.

Guide

Written by Ali, who has been fixing electronic devices since 2019. Updated .

Phone screen repairs at Ezone Repairs in Nuneaton start from £19.99. The exact price for your iPhone depends on the model and the part you choose, and you get a quote before any work starts. Most screen repairs take 30 minutes to an hour, depending on how busy we are.

What changes the price

  • Your iPhone model. Newer and larger iPhones have more expensive screens than older, smaller ones.
  • The type of screen. Many newer iPhones use OLED screens, which cost more to replace than the LCD screens on older and lower-cost models.
  • Genuine or aftermarket. You choose genuine or high-quality aftermarket parts, and both are priced on your quote.

Is it just the glass?

On an iPhone, the glass and the display underneath are bonded together, so a cracked screen is usually replaced as one part. If you can see lines, black patches or flickering, or touch has stopped working in places, the display is damaged too. Tell us what you can see when you ask for a quote.

Will my iPhone show a message after the repair?

Newer iPhones can show a notice in Settings when a screen that isn’t from Apple is fitted. The phone still works normally. If that matters to you, choose a genuine part on your quote.

Before you bring it in

  1. Back up your phone while the screen still works. See how to back up before a repair.
  2. Remember your passcode. We may need it to test the phone after the repair.
  3. If the glass is sharp, cover it with clear tape. See what to do with a cracked screen.
