Should I fix it first?

Before you sell

  1. Back up your data if the phone still works, so you keep your photos and contacts.
  2. Sign out of your accounts. On an iPhone, sign out of iCloud and turn off Find My. On Android, remove your Google account. See remove iCloud before selling.
  3. Reset the phone if the screen works well enough to do it.
  4. Take out your SIM card and any memory card.
  5. Bring photo ID when you come in.

If the screen is too damaged to sign out, bring the phone in and tell us. Don’t give your passcode to anyone you don’t trust. See selling your phone safely.
